Division of Gilmore : ウィキペディア英語版 | Division of Gilmore
The Division of Gilmore is an Australian electoral division in the state of New South Wales. The division was created in 1984 and is named for Dame Mary Gilmore, the poet and author. The division is located in the Shoalhaven and the southern Illawarra regions, extending from Warilla in the north to Durras in the south, then west including much of the, Budawang and Morton National Parks. Towns and suburbs include Berry, Bomaderry, Callala Bay, Culburra Beach, Gerringong, Kangaroo Valley, Kiama, Milton, Minnamurra, Nowra, Shellharbour, Shell Cove, Sussex Inlet, Ulladulla and Warilla. The current Member for Gilmore, since the 2013 federal election, is Ann Sudmalis, a member of the Liberal Party of Australia. ==History== When the seat was established, it was centred on the Southern Highlands town of and the South West Slopes town of and was held by the Nationals John Sharp, who went on to become a senior minister in the Howard government. A redistribution ahead of the 1993 election moved the seat towards the South Coast, along similar lines to its present boundaries. Sharp moved to the neighbouring Division of Hume and the seat was briefly held by the Australian Labor Party. Since 1996, the seat has been held by the Liberal Party.
